Baby Talk

This is just a ten second little clip of Cody and Macey talking, and only they know what they are saying! They were laying there while I got Macey's bath ready and started chatting to each otherIn the mornings, Cody will often say "hold," and then once I put Macey by him, he will say "cheese," meaning, take our picture. These are a few and a couple more pictures of them talking in the bathroom.

Macey's Blessing Day

Sunday, March 1, 2009. Bonnie and Jeff made the long drive up to be here for the blessing. They brought us some things we couldn't fit at Christmas and a double stroller I got. Jeff was calling the stroller a handcart, and really, it is the size of a small car. Back to the blessing...it was a beautiful blessing and Macey looked BEAUTIFUL in her blessing dress. We had a couple friends over after church and Bonnie had set up a delicious lunch (Ben and I had to stay after church for a few things). She is such a great host:)

Macey and her daddy.

This is just kind of random, but I wanted to post what Macey and Cody were wearing today. Cody insisted he wear his car pajamas and so that is what he's wearing, and Macey looks so cute in her little outfit from grandma.

Chillin

This is Cody's face he pulls. It can be more dramatic, but I caught the very end of it.
Cody really likes to show Macey his toys. It looks like he is poking her in the eye, but he is actually gently showing her REALLY close - that's how he shows her all his toys.

She lost her hair on the top of her head for a little while, but it's starting to grow back!

Hi Grandma and grandpa! We love you!

Going, Going, Gone

Well, we'll sure miss them, but Cody no longer takes any naps. This is okay at night though because he'll go to bed an hour or two earlier at 7 or 8 instead of 9 or 10. I guess that's a good trade off?!

Happy Birthday Cody!

Two years old! We had a little birthday party in the morning with a couple of friends. Later that night we went to McDonald's and got a hamburger and Cody played in the playplace. Then we opened presents and blew out the candles on the cake. I'm the only one who actually ate a piece of the cake:) It looks like a first grader made it, but it was me! Cody begged for the 'car' all day but then he opened his presents and hasn't put them down since. He got an airplane, some trains, a truck, a boat and some animals (some from his grandmas of course!-thanks!). He won't put them down.

Check Ups for Twos

Macey is two months! She had her two month check up this week:
Height: 22 1/2" (50%)
Weight: 11 lb. 12 oz. (75%)
Head: 38 (40%)
She was sure not happy about getting those shots! She already had a runny nose and after her shots she got quite a fever and was a mess for a couple days, but now she is feeling a lot better! Last night she slept 9 hours straight. What a BLESSING! She is such a sweet little girl with a little opinion about what she wants:) She is very social and loves to 'talk'. She is such a joy.

This picture is from two weeks ago and she is already grown out of her long sleeved onesies. It's amazing how fast they grow at first!

Cody had his 2 year check up on the same day as Macey:
Height: 33" (15%)
Weight: 28 lb. (50%)
He did great at his appointment and told Dr. Mike all sorts of random stories (in Cody gibberish). He didn't even flinch when he got his shot. He is so much fun and a little ball of energy. We love having Cody around!!
This is a picture of the trail of destruction he leaves. It starts with his room, but everywhere he goes he grabs everything he can and moves it somewhere else. I remember thinking the same thing exactly a year ago on his one year birthday...I guess it never ends?!:)
Cody loves to run, jump and climb and always finds unique places to sit.
Here are some other things about Cody:
**He loves playing play doh, but not by himself. He orders me to build things - car, choo (train), plane, man, truck (if only that was how he said it!), dumps (dump truck), and snake. Those are the main ones. I should be a professional sculptor by now.
**His favorite movie is cow aka Barnyard. He could watch it everyday all day I think.
**He will occasionally tell me he has to pee and will go on his potty. I have bought him underwear but it's at the top of a closet...and it will probably stay there for a little while until I feel like conquering that one.
**He still hasn't slept through the night:)
**He LOVES planes, trains and automobiles.
**Whenever we are getting ready to go somewhere he goes through a checklist of the things that we take with us: coat, hat, carseat, baby, bag, keys. He will list them off if I haven't got them. Once it was a fairly nice day and I tried to leave without wearing a coat but we couldn't go until I went and got a coat on. Who is the mother here? just kidding, I think it's cute.
**Sorry if this is too much information to anyone-he poops once a week and it's quite the ordeal. Poor little guy. He has prune juice in his milk and I'm going to start putting it in everything!
**He is very social and loves to play with his friends, even though they are all in the 'mine' stage.
**He loves his daddy. When Ben has an occasional day off they will go swimming together or go outside and play (in the cold)!
**He is such a good natured kid in general and so much fun. We feel so blessed to have him in our family. We love you Cody!
Pictures of his birthday will be coming soon!
