Cody went in for his three year check up at the doctor. He did great. I was laughing so hard at some of his answers to the doctor. At one point she drew two lines of different lengths and asked him which one was longer. He looked at the two lines for a minute and then declared, "Those are Snakes!" The doctor was baffled, but I'm sure she gets random answers all the time. She kept asking him which one was longer and he kept telling her that they are snakes and then he finally said, "This one is the daddy snake and this one is the baby snake." And that seemed to work.
He weighs 35 lbs. (80%) which I was surprised about because as all 3 years old probably do, he looks skinny to me, but he is actually really solid. He is 38 inches tall (55%). He grew so much this year. Last year he was in the 25th percentile or something. He is such a good kid. He puts up with Macey's tormenting pretty well. This morning she kept trying to tickle him and he totally wasn't in the mood. I finally had to move her away from him.
He loves playing outside (hopefully we can soon!), playing with playdoh, watching movies like Aladdin and Up, playing with trucks and cars and building garages out of blocks for the cars. He loves books. Ben reads him books every night before he goes to bed. One of his favorites is all about planes. He does amazingly well going walking each morning. Probably because he's done it since birth, but he sits well for a long time and then he can get out and run a little. He still loves singing, much to the surprise of the nursery and primary (he never sings in class):)
My mom came to Pullman and we basically spent time hanging out and she got to love her grandbabies. After she left, Cody's face lit up when he told one of our good friends, "My grandma came to see me. She gives me lots of hugs."
We headed up to Coeur d'Alene to stay with Ben's parents (who made the long drive) for a few days. It was a beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the lake. 
The only downer was that Cody and Macey were sick the whole time we had visitors. This is not the most articulate way to say it, but it really is wonderful having grandparents who are as interested in your kids as you are. That's one of the reasons I started this blog...they like to see what their grandchildren are up to! Thanks for spoiling us!
