Favorite Sweater

Cody doesn't have a favorite blanket, he has a favorite sweater. Every time I wear it, he goes straight to sleep!

He took TWO steps today!! That doesn't equate to walking, but he's getting so close!

Crib Jump

A couple of weeks ago I was taking a shower while Cody was sleeping. He woke up and started crying so I hurried to get out of the shower. Suddenly the crying got closer and I jumped out of the shower to find Cody crawling towards me! He fell out of his crib - that's a good fall for a little guy! Luckily, he was just fine!
January is such a cold, non-descript month for me. I feel like if I can make it through this month and February, I'll be good to go.

Time for a New Post

I have been waiting and waiting to post the event of Cody walking! But, it hasn't happened yet, so I'm just going to go ahead and post. Meanwhile, he'll walk when he's good and ready. Yesterday while he was playing he was running (crawling) all over the place and every few minutes for like an hour he would come give me a big hug for a second and then hop up and crawl away to play.
I made an awesome discovery the other week and it is the perfect solution to my exercise-less life! The WSU coliseum is open to walkers during the day, so I have been going there and walking and jogging, along with my walking-friends Erica and Sabre. It's fun and good exercise!

End of Holiday Update

I think that about does it for the holiday updates, (which are completely backwards--start below:)), just a few more highlights:
*Bonnie sent us to Wolf Creek for a night and tended Cody, one of my favorite Christmas presents ever!
*We spent New Year's with Antone and Jennie Burbidge and the Dunfords and had tons of fun. Cody fell asleep way before midnight and since he doesn't really care, rather than wake him we went home before midnight. The picture of us above documents that we were awake though!
*Beau and Merideth Beck came to visit us and brought Cody's girlfriend Afton. Beau is going to vet school at Colorado State and Merideth is working full time at home and watching Afton, and cooking and cleaning...you're amazing Merideth.
*Cody LOVES animals, especially cats. Everytime he would see the cat chase something he would laugh histerically. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen, but I could never get it on video.
We loved seeing our family and friends and are so thankful for them! We are coming to Utah again in February thanks to Jon's employment at Skywest and would love to see anyone that will be around!

Congrats Nette and Jon

Nette and Jon got married on December 29. We went to their wedding dinner the night before at the Wight House in Bountiful and then the Salt Lake temple and Wight House for the reception the next day.
Lynette looked beautiful. Right now they are on a Mexican Riviera cruise.

Christmas with Croslands

Christmas morning we were at Croslands and opened presents and had scones (yum!). Cody was way more interested in the wrapping paper, but he got some presents that he really likes. Tyler got some fully length pajamas that he is sporting in one of those pictures - he matched Cody! Nette and Jon were sick on Christmas with the flu (sorry that your head is cut off Nette). They were getting married in a couple days! Actually almost everyone in my family got the flu including me, Ben and Cody. Cody was sick for days, poor guy. Overall a fun trip!

Santa Pictures

On the 24th of December we went and got pictures with santa. I thought it would be crazy, but it wasn't that bad. The babies were predictably unhappy with that idea.

Rockin Horse

Cody got a cute rocking horse for Christmas - early, from his Grandpa Crosland. He loves it!

Bowling

That night we got in to Utah we went out to eat with my family and then went bowling (another first for me and Ben. We also went skiing with Amy and Luke but I don't have any pictures.) I am Horrible at bowling. Ben just laughed at me all night. I swear it was just a bad night. My mom actually pulled out a victory over everyone! (That's her celebrating:)

Holiday Update

We started out our holiday celebrations by going to the Nutcracker Ball for the vet school. I tried a rocky mountain oyster, and it wasn't that bad besides that it was rubbery and the thought was a little disgusting!
