Twilight Cast

I saw this on my friend Andrea's blog. Edward is not cute!! Hopefully he is in the movie... Has anyone seen One Tree Hill? Brooke fits the part of Jessica. I didn't know this was being made into a movie, but hopefully it does the books justice. (I thought these books were great, but I read them right after I finished Harry Potter, so I they are second on my favorites.)

My Favorite Running Shoes

I got some new running shoes the other day. The athletic store I went to was run by a guy who seemed to have dedicated his life to studying shoes and running! My favorite shoes are Asics, but he taught me the basics for any shoes. I learned some great things:
*If you pronate, you should look for shoes that have a grey strip on the inside step of the shoe (on the side sole). If you don't pronate, don't buy shoes with grey!! (I did that once and have ruined my big toe).
*Good shoes should not be sewn together inside on the bottom of the shoe, but should be sewn around the sides (you have to lift up the bottom cushion to check).
*Buy running shoes at least a half size too big to allow for your toes to spread when you run.
*If your heel slips when you run, lace your shoes up using the front and the back hole at the top of the shoes.
*Shoes should fit comfortably the first time you put them on. 'Breaking in' shoes means they won't be a great fit for you.

OH Friends

While I was in Utah I got together with these cute girls that I used to work with at Olson & Hoggan for lunch. They are: Christine, Andy, Cat, Michelle, me, Brandi. Brandi is 8 months pregnant in this picture, but you can't tell! The seriously beautiful baby boy is Michelle's. We had tons of fun catching up since we're all doing different things now. Thanks for the picture Cat.

Life's Ironies

Being the wonderful husband that he is, Ben volunteered to get up with Cody when he woke up at night. I went on a run Saturday morning and had to teach a lesson on Sunday, so he was helping out. Ironically, Cody slept through the night!!! That's good! It's just ironic since he never has.

* He LOVES baths.
* He loves horses, dogs and cats.

Cody Faces

Tag

Here Goes:
10 Years Ago: I was attending Davis High School; playing soccer, studying for classes. Being a late bloomer, the boy world was still an unknown. The Tim McGraw song Seventeen had come out and I remember singing that with my friends thinking that was a good age. What an easy time of life! It keeps getting better though!
5 Things on my To Do List Today: Play with Cody, Go Running, Get Ready for Cody's Birthday, do laundry, Vote (I love that WA does voting by mail)
Snacks I Enjoy: I don't have a particular favorite, but after a good long run I LOVE Dairy Queen Blizzards. Warm homemade bread would be a favorite, is that a snack? And Chocolate...
Things I would Do if I were suddenly Made a Billionaire: Whoa! A couple thousand would be great. But, we would pay off student loans, buy a house, buy Ben a clinic and a bunch of land and horses, and buy me some new clothes!
Three of my Bad Habits: (1) Ben would say it was throwing my clothes on the floor in the bathroom. Okay, it is a bad habit. (2) Going to the store for one things in particular, forgetting my list and forgetting to get it (3) Nursing a baby = eating nonstop all day = bad news when you're done nursing! That's a fair warning to anyone nursing now or in the future:) It sucks the fat right out of your body and then that fast, it's over, and you keep eating!
Places I Have Lived: St. Paul, MN; Sandy, UT; Fruit Heights, UT; Provo, UT; Nauvoo, IL; Logan, UT; Pullman, WA; someday somewhere WARM where it doesn't SNOW
Jobs I have Had: Lagoon; CNA @ Life Care; NTC; Gandolfo's; Express; Buckle; Fitness Consultant @ YBeFit; front desk Hotel Monaco; reception @ Religion Department Ancient Scripture BYU; legal secretary/paralegal @ Olson & Hoggan, P.C.; legal coding; MOM!!!!
Things People Don't Know About Me: I have been arrested. Some of you know this, but for those of you who don't, it was about 3 years ago and I was COMPLETELY innocent!!! Thanks for bailing me out honey.
I went skydiving with Ashley in college!

That's all! I tag Becky, McCall, Melanie Bott, Erica, and Melanie Hoopes.
I'm sure by now everyone knows the rules of Tag, but just in case, I will post a comment on your blog letting you know you've been tagged then you answer the questions above and tag 5 more people!

Sleeping in the Jungle

Yesterday I went to the gym and Ben was watching Cody. On my way home I called and Ben said that Cody was sleeping, and when I came home this is where he was. He slept there for an hour (and he usually only sleeps 45 min!). Every time he moved the music would start playing and I would hear little monkeys and elephant roars. If only it were that easy for me to get him to sleep!
