Three brave friends and I ran the Emmie Law Memorial Half Marathon.

It felt like this: slight incline running up, then steep hill, get to the top-another steep hill, get to the top-another steep hill, etc. slight decline, another hill, get to the top-steep hill. repeat.
Needless to say, this was not my best time, but well worth the effort. Speaking of effort, I may have not trained as often as I wanted to, due to Ben being gone for over half of my training, but walking group counts dang it!

Thanks are in order to Jaimie for watching my kids and Chelsea for dragging my butt up those steep hills to train.

You girls rock!

Side note: I had these awesome gel gummies and some of them had caffeine. I LOVED them and would recommend them to everyone.

Without thinking I gave one to Cody and Macey as a treat-50/50 chance they got a caffeine one, they all looked the same. Later, and an hour after I put Macey down for a nap, she was singing at the top of her lungs and shaking her crib. It dawned on me that I had given my child caffeine, and that was not wise.

ABCD Little Star

This is -Cody marchin through- and little Mace's rendition of the ABC's...or Twinkle Twinkle...or both.
Cody and Macey sure love singing.
Cody was singing at the top of his lungs on the way home from Utah on the plane. Most of his songs start or end with "For a long time." I don't know why. I love it. Cute, but em-bar-rassing when people are trying to rest.
We took a ride on the city bus for fun the other day and Macey belted out Twinkle Twinkle for everyone's amusement. She just hums or mumbles the unfamiliar parts. Also cute. Also embarrassing (that it's so loud).

Utah in August

The end of August is the best time to visit Utah-it's warm, sunny and swiss days is right around the corner! One day we went to the HAFB museum-they have literally hundreds of planes. Cody and Clayton were in heaven and Macey seemed to enjoy it too! They all got a souvenir plane.

This would be the favorite plane:)

Clayton turned FOUR years old and had a birthday party. They're all sporting their glasses.

Chillin with grandpa. He knows how to win them over: popsicles.
Also, my brother got home after being gone for a couple years. I didn't get pictures. arg. We also rode on a train and the kids loved it...but I forgot to get pictures again...
Luckily, I was able to steal some from Carly! One thing we did a Lot of was eat out. This is one day when we went to lunch together. Pure chaos and good food.
We went to Hogle Zoo. The animals were fairly active, so it was fun. I love that Carly pointed out our child arrangements: we got a wagon for Cody and Macey to ride in and Amy and Carly brought strollers. So this is how it ended up: Cody pulled the wagon with Blake and Lucy. Macey insisted on being held. She also refused to be in any pictures. We love you Macey:)
And here's swiss days. Love it. Hopefully I can go every year.
I had to take a picture of Blake because one, she's cute, and also because she can use an i touch better than me. just thought that should be documented.
We went to Cherry Hill where Cody wanted to go down cardiac canyon one million times. He also loved the blue slides because he could slide in a dragon. I took a random picture of Jessi making the rounds-she works at Cherry Hill.
We love visiting! Hopefully, our next move will be to somewhere really exciting to visit...but meanwhile we love coming home to see everyone!
p.s. I still love living in Pullman. It's just not super exciting to visit.

Happy Birthday Old Man

Happy BIRTHDAY!! Ben turning 30...entering a decade of maturity.
We love you!
Random pics-most recent.

Right before Ben left, having a pretend sleepover on the floor:)

More wheat field pics.

At Cherry Hill (more to come of Utah). This is all Cody wanted to do -ride cardiac canyon.Ben gets home on Sunday (he's been in Kentucky at Rood & Riddle). It's been a month since he's been home. (We saw him for a week in Utah during that time.) For dinner on his birthday he had a frozen meal of lasagna. Not ideal. But, we did celebrate before by going to Maddox in Utah and had cake and homemade fresh peach ice cream.
