Ok, so just a clarification with Macey (who is 16 months :)). She has said exactly two sentences. She doesn't speak in sentences. It wasn't supposed to sound like that, she just picks up on 'word stuff' fast. After dinner tonight she came walking in with our alphabet set letter O and held it up and said "O" over and over. Ben and I just stared at each other and then Ben said "well you should work with her more." We had been talking about the letter O a lot with Cody.
I love Pullman this time of year. We love driving to Moscow through all the fields and seeing tons of tractors out plowing their fields. Picture soon to come.
One of my favorite things about Cody: his laugh is so contagious. I have tried to get it when he's watching a movie. He just makes everyone in the room laugh because he laughs so hard. And it's a cute laugh. I really want to get a video of it, but once he knows it's just not the same.

As of Late
7 Steps to Clean granola off living room floor:
Step 1: Wash sticky pieces off of baby's feet and hands and brush off pants for now.
Step 2: Start sweeping up big pieces vacuum won't suck up.
Step 3: Move baby and reclean feet.
Step 4: resweep
Step 5: reclean baby's feet
Step 6: resweep
Step 7: vacuum (dodge children who pretend it is chasing them.)
I had Macey stand in time out for a minute. She knew what it meant since Cody spends time there, but didn't seem too terribly upset-I wasn't yelling at her; it was funny. She seems pretty torn up about it, right?
Also, I realized how neglectful I had been in saying that Macey walks. She has been walking for a fair amount of time, but I just never posted it. I think it's because it was SO gradual. I definitely think the kicker was that she realized she could carry things while she walked, but not while she crawled. It is SOooo nice. She still wants to be carried in unfamiliar settings, but in general she walks. She is also talking a lot more. The other day she pointed to a ball and said "There's a ball." her first sentence:) Today we went in to get a jacket and I told her it's because it was chilly outside and she said, "Me chilly." I love hearing all the words she says in her little voice, especially the newest intelligable one "Tody" (Cody). This 7 second little video just shows her cruising around.
Cody was playing with 'play clay' and he loves to cut it into tons of little pieces, which he explained, but my camera's card memory was full.

Wild Weekend
The award for the weekend though goes to Ben. He singlehandedly took care of all three kids most of the weekend, and did a great job! I'm so impressed.
Amy and Blake, We are so glad you guys came!!! Thank you Thank you, we loved it!!!
One day about two weeks ago Cody woke up and started asking me questions. Then he kept asking questions throughout the day. Ben and I were talking about it a couple of days later and we realized the age of questions has started. I think it is such a cute stage, but I was thinking he would ask all these insightful questions about how things work and I would know all the answers. But I am realizing not only do I not know all the answers to the questions he asks, but some of them are weird questions about why there are spots on the ground and why the something isn't moving. Having said that I love his curiosity and thirst for knowledge. It's amazing what he picks up at this age. Last night when I had to leave for a minute he told me to drive safe, put on my seatbelt, take my purse and keys, and be good. I love it!
