As of Late

Just an update. It's finally getting to be sunny outside and we love it! We've gone to feed the ducks, see the bears, play at the parks, walk outside. It rained a couple days and one of my friends commented that they were trying to figure out what to do and couldn't figure out what they had done all winter!

This is Cody, Tucker, Macey and Kimber. We watched them for some of our friends a couple days a week this semester. While Cody will miss his friend Tucker we will not miss the chaotic messes:) It just pains me to look at this picture and the mess! And I'm not saying our house is always clean, it's just overwhelming here. Tucker would always sing this song while he was here "I love Cody, he loves me..." apparently they're family:).

Cody wanted to show off his new ball.

7 Steps to Clean granola off living room floor:
Step 1: Wash sticky pieces off of baby's feet and hands and brush off pants for now.
Step 2: Start sweeping up big pieces vacuum won't suck up.
Step 3: Move baby and reclean feet.
Step 4: resweep
Step 5: reclean baby's feet
Step 6: resweep
Step 7: vacuum (dodge children who pretend it is chasing them.)

Yesterday Cody kept laughing and saying Look at Macey! I told Cody I was almost done with the dishes and I would be right there. Macey had taken the box of granola (that incidentally I had seen her carrying...why didn't I think that through?) and dumped it all over the entire family room. This is after most of it was cleaned up because I didn't dare take a picture right at first.

I had Macey stand in time out for a minute. She knew what it meant since Cody spends time there, but didn't seem too terribly upset-I wasn't yelling at her; it was funny. She seems pretty torn up about it, right?

Also, I realized how neglectful I had been in saying that Macey walks. She has been walking for a fair amount of time, but I just never posted it. I think it's because it was SO gradual. I definitely think the kicker was that she realized she could carry things while she walked, but not while she crawled. It is SOooo nice. She still wants to be carried in unfamiliar settings, but in general she walks. She is also talking a lot more. The other day she pointed to a ball and said "There's a ball." her first sentence:) Today we went in to get a jacket and I told her it's because it was chilly outside and she said, "Me chilly." I love hearing all the words she says in her little voice, especially the newest intelligable one "Tody" (Cody). This 7 second little video just shows her cruising around.

Cody was playing with 'play clay' and he loves to cut it into tons of little pieces, which he explained, but my camera's card memory was full.

Oh, Carrie...That's your disaster? Wow, I wish my disasters look like that...that's my house on a good day. You must be amazing, well, I mean, you are, but even more so than before.

Yay for sunny weather!! I'm so glad we can go outside now! I hear you about the mess. It seems the more kids you have, it just multiplies by 10!
