The annual Lentil Festival in Pullman was last weekend, right before school started. We went to the parade and all the booths, but missed the actual huge vat of lentil chili they make and serve to everyone. Apparently it's cooked in a truck sized bowl and tastes pretty good. Cody was much more impressed with the cars that were used to bring things to the festival than the actual festival activities. He was pretty cute during the parade too - he was dancing like crazy when the bands came by! Here he is sitting by Lucy, a friend from our ward:)Wednesday, August 27, 2008

We DROVE to Utah in August...and made it. Apparently DVD players are a necessity for trips like those, but we made it without one. Maybe for Christmas we'll invest! I took our camera and took NO pictures, so I stole a couple of our boating expedition from Amy's blog (which I'm impressed that you have updated!). We had a ton of fun like always seeing our families. We went four-wheeling with my parents and boating at Pine View with Ben's family, Amy had her baby shower, we had a bbq with some friends, Ben tried out the Flowrider and a bunch of other things!

Amy and I took belly shots. Hers actually looks so cute in this picture because (1) she has a cute belly, and (2) she doesn't carry her baby in her knees like I do:), but it's an update on my growing belly- which while I am writing this I am thinking I am at least twice that size now. Amy is due in less 3 weeks!
Lately I have been working at ChaCha.com answering all the random questions that anyone can think of. If you've never tried it, text any question you can think of to chacha (it's free). I am also giving pills to a woman in a senior citizen living community. A little extra income is always nice! I am quitting ChaCha though and if anyone is thinking about doing it-don't! Some of the questions you get...disturbing and you HAVE to answer them. No thanks! It was fun for a little while.

Girls' Trip St. George
As soon as Jessi and Amy post pictures I'll steal theirs, but for now I could only steal Carly's picture of our trip-I am so bad at taking pictures. Thanks guys:)

Wii Champions
This is the Wii Olympics where you have to shake the paddles back and forth to run. They're doing the 100 meter dash. Ben kept on losing until he had Cody join his team. Then, they not only won, they SMOKED their competition. In this video though, Cody is so excited that he stops running!

We're Back!
We just got the internet this morning...and 11 channels of tv. I told Ben last night that it had been fun talking to him after work and I would miss it now that we'll have tv-joking of course:) Actually I'm really looking forward to watching So You Think You Can Dance tonight. Updates for June are below and July-we had such a fun 4th. I love the 4th! It was actually a little bit cooler than any 4th I remember, but it was still a nice day. We went to the Barnes for a pancake breakfast and then went to Boyer Park for the day. There's a little cove area in the river that is fairly shallow and a little warmer that we played in. After Boyer Park, we went to the Christensen's for a barbeque and watched the fireworks in their backyard, they looked like they were being shot right next door they were really close!

We are finally in our new apartment! There is so much space! My mom basically single handedly moved us in, I don't know how she does it. On Saturday when we moved the furniture it just took the guys 2 hours to completely move it and all the rest of our stuff was already over and put away.
Me and Cody went with Ben to work last week. The bottom left picture is of Ben doing an ultrasound on a horse. All I can say is I am SO grateful that we do not have to get ultrasounds done like that! It was pretty cool to see everything they can do. There are quite a few horses, around 80, that they are working with. Cody absolutely loved it but was disappointed that he couldn't ride them:)
