Tackle T-Ball

Cody and Ava at their First practice!
First game:)

In 3 year old T-ball the concept of teamwork has not yet been discovered. In fact, much to Ben's horror, Cody started crying once in the middle of the game in outfield because his teammates weren't 'sharing' the ball. If you look closely below, you'll notice Cody on the right near tears because the ball is not coming toward him:)Then, once when he did get the ball, another little boy tried to block him from throwing it. Below is a classic brawl for the ball. But mostly they just clobbered each other every time in an attempt to claim it themselves. Easy buddy!I know, say it with me..."Use sport mode."He's a great little batter and a quick little runner, just ask him:)There was also plenty of down time. Cody and Ava taking it easy during an inning. More relaxin...
Bless the coaches for their time and patience:)
I'm so proud of him for his first season of sports!

Lovin Good Deals

"Repurpose" is one of my new favorite words. These shorts used to be jeans with a hole in the knee. I cut them off and sewed them up in 10 minutes. Voila! New shorts.
This week I went to Rite Aid and used a bunch of rebates and coupons to get 5 things free (some below):) ha ha. I'm lame and I know it, but it's oddly fun to me.

And last but not least, I scored a free watch at Chunky Bling. It was a tough call, but I chose "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Thanks anyone that voted for me!

Happy Macey

Me and Mace had a little impromptu morning devotional.

"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of neverending happiness." (Mos. 3: 19)

While she was eating breakfast, I read that scripture to Macey. When I finished she looked up at me and said "Happy-Ness." Then we both sang "If you're happy and you know it." I told her the scriptures can make her happy. All she knows is that I said happy, she was happy, and we sang the happy song, and if you ask me that's a great start!
