Baseball/CPK/Beach

I really don't like cramming a bunch of random things all together in the same post
It's easier to read and find things later separated
But, it takes so much more time:)

Cody just finished baseball.
He did amazing and had so much fun playing.
He had a great coach (who played MLB-awesome) and had great teammates.
His fielding really improved from last year and batting got even better.
They had a two base limit in his league this year, so maybe next year he'll make some home runs!

This is one of Cody's best school friends, Landon.
I am done volunteering in Cody's class. He and Macey have both had a great year!
There's still a month left...but I'm starting to mentally check out:)
Cody got sick over spring break, and had a fever for 8 days. He lost a TON of weight and was so weak by the time he felt better.
The next week he got sick again, with hand foot mouth. His throat hurt but the doctor told me if he doesn't have a fever they can still go to school. All in all, for the weirdness that hand foot mouth is, it wasn't all that bad for my kids. I did feel bad his throat hurt so bad though.
Then this weekend he got another fever and cough. Rough luck with sickness.
So, being the awesome parents we are, we decided to give him some medicine and go to the beach.
We told him to take a nap in the shade.

Within the first five minutes of getting there Macey had found a fun friend to run around with.
Mackayla loves getting her picture taken.
That nap didn't ever happen...but he is starting to feel better now.

Mackayla also loves taking pictures. I have a ton that look something like this:

She is still experimenting with fashion:

Mackayla's preschool had a field trip to California Pizza Kitchen.
Macey got to come along since her school doesn't start until later.
She's fun to take places because she's actually quite helpful and always a party.
I love the faces she makes:
 In the fridge:
  All together
Then they each made their own pizza.

I'm pretty sure these are morning doves? But they are hilarious because when they fly they make little squeaky sounds. So all day long we hear little squeaks on the balcony. They have spent a lot of time making their little nest, and have dropped (and picked up) quite a bit in the process!

Today is one of those awesome days where Cody is/was sick but doesn't have a fever, so he has a lot of pent up energy! We were going to go swim at a friends' house, but it's a little chilly and Cody's not quite better and his immune system isn't 100% after all his craziness. Also, Ben is on call, so we can't actually GO anywhere exciting, just in case. Which, he is out on a call right now!
I can't really complain though, a chill day is always fine. Sometimes life can be fun without having something to instagram about!
Mackayla is painting, Macey is playing with friends outside and Cody is trying to decide what to do, but is currently drawing dragons.
I, am blogging:)

Our Computer is Kaput

I am blogging from my ipad, a first for me. I prefer the ease of navigating through our computer but it won't turn on. I do love the happy Apple employees though, who always seem to know how to fix things. Ben was on call and I didn't want to take the kids with to the appointment but did and they loved it! They sat at the kids table and wished they didn't have to go home. I hope they can fix it.

More exciting things have been going on though...
Mackayla and I went berry picking at Tanaka Farms with her preschool.

We have some new residents in our nest again.

These are some delicious Trader Joe foods you should try
Mackayla had a cute Bob the Builder party - they made their own little toolboxes

Macey somehow head butted the counter in our bathroom and split her eye, luckily it's looking better.
We had the opportunity to sing to one of our ward friends who just had a mastectomy right before Mother's Day. On Mother's Day a bunch of primary kids from the ward sang some songs to her from her balcony.
I don't know if Macey will love this later but I'm documenting it. She asked about the logistics of nursing. She really has thought all these things through extensively...child birth and all that. Each thing has to be dealt with separately, and this one did not sit well with her. I don't know if she's going to breastfeed her babies. That is just fine...maybe she can for sure decide when she is 20+ and pregnant.
Rock climbing

Cody is doing great too. He had a little choir concert at school this week, his play off games for baseball and he is working on a school play. He is really into Pokemon cards lately, too. Who knew those were still around!
