Montage, 21, Shower and Luau

I'm going to go see my mom soon. I can't wait to spend some time with her.
She just had brain surgery,
and we pray for her every day to make a full recovery.
We even get to watch the women's broadcast this weekend together:)
Ben is nervous because he's never had the kids alone for longer than a few hours...I'm excited and kinda bummed that it is on "slower" days :)

We went to the beach one Sunday afternoon after church. I love Montage, right on the resort grounds.
I took pictures of our walk down to the beach because it's just as pretty

There are a few tide pools at Treasure Cove we like to explore

A cute spunky friend of mind was singing at a bar with a band.
Sometimes I feel like with all the craziness of everyone's lives we forget to support each other. I decided last minute I should support the cause and I literally climbed out of bed to go see her perform!
I forgot my id and the guard guy wouldn't let me in cause he claimed I didn't look over 21.
I lamely tried to think of proof I was older than 21 - I have three kids, I have wrinkles. But maybe being in glasses and no makeup didn't help. I don't even drink!
But let's be clear: I would LOVE to look 21 again but those days are long gone.
I had my friend I went with go get our singing friend and she got me in ;)
I do love live music and she did awesome!
Another friend threw an Indian baby shower.
She asked me to help set up last minute. It was almost 100 degrees and we started setting up so late that I didn't have time to go change before it started...so I was really gross but hungry enough that I stayed and ate!
My face has a nice glow :)
Fake invitation sent to us and the expecting mom...kinda funny
 We got henna tattoos

We had a Hawaiian Luau ward party and I was dying at how cute Macey was trying to hula

Aliso Beach. And mangoes.

The tide was huge for this labor day weekend party
But it's always fun to have smore's at the beach!
We came one evening with a bunch of friends from our ward
Aliso Beach has a short steep beach and the waves break right on the shore so we don't often come to this one,
the advantage though is that our car was 10 feet from where we were at
My pictures don't give the waves justice with the steep incline, but they were HUGE!!! See that guy about to be swallowed up? :
The lifeguards were on careful watch that day and asked Ben and a couple other guys to come in after a particularly huge set of waves.

Random and unrelated to the ocean, and late now that our costco mango season is over, but this changed my mango eating life. How to peel a mango:

School Days and Scouts

First Days:
Her backpack takes up more than half her little body!
In the classroom
Cody got the "fun" teacher
and Macey got the "strict" teacher.

Walk helper, with her backpack of course:)
This school is humongous, this isn't even a fraction. High school will not be overwhelming to them...it's already as big as a high school.
  Cute Kayla at her coop

 Cody earned his wolf!
And I don't even bother getting ready in 100 degree weather and 100 percent humidity...so there's that.
We're pretty proud of his hard work - he wanted to finish before school started!
His favorite part of scouts this year hands down was scout camp.
