Every house we have lived in has had a "sound." The one I wake up to in the morning.
Washington was people, Oklahoma was dogs, Oregon was traffic,
and California is birds.
I really like this one.
Two weeks ago Cody came inside our house and said he saw a bird's nest in the box on our house.
-He had noticed the mom and dad bird going in and out of it-
We all crowded around and carefully peeked in, careful not to touch anything.
We saw five new baby birds cuddled together in the tiny space.
Every day they seemed to get a little bigger and their hungry peeps a little stronger.
The parents sure were busy
It was fun to watch their fuzzy little bodies grow feathers.
Nine days later, they looked even more cramped than when they started
The next day Mackayla and I were looking at pictures by the window and a teeny tiny bird flew onto our balcony for few seconds. Mackayla pointed at it and said "Look, it's our baby birds."
We went to go check the nest, and they were gone!
It was so fun having them share our home for a week or two.

They were cute little sparrows.
It was a good little reminder for me, in the midst of never ending life decisions,
of a favorite song, and a scripture, "His Eye is on the Sparrow" (this song), and

Matthew 10:29-31
"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
