Seven in One

And here is a whirlwind of random events from the last month and a half:
My kids spend 99.9% of their free time on the tramp.
Ben took Mackayla and me to the farm riding one Thursday while the other two were in school.
The greatest day of my life occurred when Ben provided our dinner.
I'm pretty sure I'm the last woman on earth that feels like if my husband goes to work all day long, and I stay at home, that I could get my butt off the couch and make dinner.
I'm kidding, we all know we don't sit on the couch all day, but I always joke to Ben about that. But he really doesn't help all that much with the cooking. Until now:)
In all our moving adventures we've never felt compelled to buy and move a grill - so this has been awesome!!! We obviously started using it before optimal Utah grilling time:
The greatest day of Cody's year came at the Pinewood Derby.
This may not have been instant replay and computer timed to the millisecond, but it was every bit as exciting! Cody Loved it!!
His prizes and the winning car:

I had an amazing time at women's conference with my two sister in laws and mother in law.
I've never been before, but I felt like it was general conference, but a little more personal and laid back and with WAY less distractions (read: children).
I loved every second, and love spending time with these women!
I heard about this really good restaurant in Provo that is farm to table. I hate most all chain restaurants (I think just because they're chains...I don't know why!) but I love a good original restaurant, so I was so excited to try this. I walked in to a table of lovely ladies from Ladera Ranch. That was a surprise! I think I saw about 50 people from Ladera that weekend though...I had no idea everyone came up for this!
Our waiter was insanely pretentious. If we were in the high center of culture and food I would have been prepared for him, but, we were in Provo, Utah. So it was a little out of place.
And call me a redneck, but I didn't know what most of the food was.
At any rate, Ben's family was super good sports about my expensive, poor choice, and I thought it was so fun!!! Most of the food I thought was amazing!
(Ben makes fun of my food choices endlessly. Unless he can pronounce the food and it is some form of the words hamburger, chicken or meat and vegetables, he isn't interested. I love anything that I can't pronounce. Once I asked him what he thought I would get and he straight faced answered, "I don't know, something weird." It's true though.)
Back to Women's Conference. I have too many favorite ideas from those two too short days to list. This is the concert - and that was fun too.
Here is a great thought:
I loved Elder Stevenson's talk at the end. I think that one is worth relistening to. In part he really talks about media and things as they appear vs. how they are.
This hummus and pita bread changed my life.
I don't even care that the picture was gross. I didn't even think of taking a picture until I had eaten 99% of them.  Thank you, BYU cafeteria.

Right after women's conference Ben and I took a little getaway to Anniversary Inn for our Anniversary. 13 years! This is where we stayed for our honeymoon and we figured since we lived here now we would stop back in.
Trolley Square is kinda dead, but close by!

We stayed in a Tuscan recreation of some sort.
It was so nice to have a little time to ourselves and set some goals for our next year, for ourselves and our relationship.
I do look forward to the time we're old and wrinkled and love each other even more than we do now.
We went to a Bees game. It was so nice to have a suite since it rained, but the rainbow was super pretty!
The guys all sat below, and they had pretty good seats too!

Macey took a sewing class and now she can't decide if she wants to be a chef or a seamstress!
 Occasionally I do a Wednesday Cleanse-day.
I do love how healthy I feel afterwords!! That's a lot of fruits and veggies in one day!

I met up with a friend from California for lunch. She was here at a writer's conference.
Her first book was just published and out for sale two days ago! So proud of her, it's exciting!
This place is a key place in the book:)
I do love temple square too, it's gorgeous this time of year!
