Grateful Month

I'm so glad that we have a month to think about what we're grateful for, even if it does get overwhelmed by a season of consumption. That month fast approached in 2018, and I hope we can make it meaningful.
We made some thanksgiving turkeys to gobble up one night with our cousins and Ethan.

Cody, Macey and Mackayla took a little sewing class at a quilting store in Kaysville taught by one of Bonnie's neighbors. She is really good at teaching kids sewing and gives them these Harry Potter wands they wave around and say things like "stuffiosa" to stuff something.

I was dumb and took my kids to the grand opening of a Harry Potter store in salt lake. We waited for almost two hours and were let in to see a couple of things we could buy. It was hyped up for literally nothing. I'm a little disappointed that we did it, but the kids were great sports!

This is the BEST parenting advice that I think every parent new or with older kids should read!!
A close up of the last page:
Sometimes things are hard. You can complain, or you can accept that's what you've been given.
It's your new one on your pain scale. DEAL with it. Complain, or accept it, and grow.
Either way, it still IS.
Implementing this can be hard. Doing it with love and acceptance is harder.

This is weird...to buy Cody shoes I can now try them on!

I love Thanksgiving food days! I love that EVERYTHING is homemade and the best recipe and a special twist on things. Who doesn't love a food celebration?:)
It was such nice mild weather last year we actually went out to the farm for a bit.

We had Thanksgiving with a family from India, in a student ward at the U where Bonnie and Jeff go to church and serve at, and they were darling.

Proof that Cody and Macey give hugs.
And future blackmail:

It was again nice enough weather to go ride bikes along a dirt bike track by Amy's house. The kids love it.

Can you sense a theme with all my clouds and sun pictures?
I was profoundly grateful last year (and still am) for the beauty of the sunsets and sunrises
and our ability to enjoy them every day.
My parents' house has the best views.

 On to Christmas!
