Yesterday Cody had swim lessons. His friends Lilly and Ava (and Erica and Erin!) are in his class too. He was so excited to be there and was a little rowdy during class. He wanted to play in the shallow part of the pool and would try to jump out of my arms to get there. The teacher finally said to just tell him you're going to let go and then let him go and let him sink a little. I did, and the only part that seemed to bug him is that he didn't get to the shallow end fast enough!
I have been getting quite a few contractions lately, but yesterday every time I stood up I was contracting. After I put Cody down for a nap I laid down for an hour but right when I stood up I started contracting again (Braxton Hicks type of contractions, not painful ones). But by then I had started to get nervous. I took Cody to play outside with Ava and Lilly and called my doctor. They told me to go to the hospital to check it out. Everything was fine but they figure I was dehydrated and that's why I was contracting so much. You're supposed to drink 3 to 4 liters of water a day! Anyways, I am so grateful for such good friends. Erin watched Cody and fed him dinner and Erica came with me to the hospital and held my hand while I cried even though I was fine:)! Thanks so much; what would I do without you girls! This is one of the reasons that I love Pullman - good friends.

Blake Larsen
Amy had Blake on Tuesday, September 16! Jeff called me Thursday night and said he found some great tickets if I wanted to fly out the next morning, so we got to see her! She is beautiful and we had so much fun seeing Amy and the rest of our family. They seem to be doing great, although Blake sleeps soundly during the day and stays awake all night. I remember those days...I'm gearing up for them again! Congrats Luke and Amy!
Cody got to see his cousins on the Purdy side too! Micah and Clayton ran to the car saying 'Cody' when we got there and then they all ran around laughing together. It's so much fun to watch them! Micah got her hair ratted right before we took these pictures, so she's looking like a rock star:)!
Notice Cody holding a car in almost all the pictures we took...that's pretty much how he rolls. He loves cars, trucks, tractors, planes, etc!

Lynette's Post
Nette requested more pictures and more updates. I have been terrible lately about taking pictures, but here are a couple!
Lately Cody has been very particular about his shoes. He loves his bright red Cars crocs and wouldn't wear anything but those to church yesterday. Really, I don't care, whatever makes him happy. But he was wearing bright red shoes with his sunday clothes. He also used to love these huge yellow and blue water socks, but I managed to hide them. Another funny quirk is that he always wants to wear shoes, but if you do take them off, you absolutely Have to take off his socks too. He's wearing my shoes at this particular moment:)
Ben's second year of school is in full force now. He puts in long hours at school and usually gets up really early to study - I don't even know how early; I am definitely not up at that time. This semester is supposedly one of the more challenging ones!
We went to the rodeo in Colfax and Cody went in style. He would have worn boots, but his little feet are too chubby still to get them on! He Loved the tractors (we spent forever sitting on all of them), animals (especially the llamas because they made funny sounds), and of course the rodeo!

Lentil Festival
The annual Lentil Festival in Pullman was last weekend, right before school started. We went to the parade and all the booths, but missed the actual huge vat of lentil chili they make and serve to everyone. Apparently it's cooked in a truck sized bowl and tastes pretty good. Cody was much more impressed with the cars that were used to bring things to the festival than the actual festival activities. He was pretty cute during the parade too - he was dancing like crazy when the bands came by! Here he is sitting by Lucy, a friend from our ward:)August Utah Trip
We DROVE to Utah in August...and made it. Apparently DVD players are a necessity for trips like those, but we made it without one. Maybe for Christmas we'll invest! I took our camera and took NO pictures, so I stole a couple of our boating expedition from Amy's blog (which I'm impressed that you have updated!). We had a ton of fun like always seeing our families. We went four-wheeling with my parents and boating at Pine View with Ben's family, Amy had her baby shower, we had a bbq with some friends, Ben tried out the Flowrider and a bunch of other things!

Amy and I took belly shots. Hers actually looks so cute in this picture because (1) she has a cute belly, and (2) she doesn't carry her baby in her knees like I do:), but it's an update on my growing belly- which while I am writing this I am thinking I am at least twice that size now. Amy is due in less 3 weeks!
Lately I have been working at ChaCha.com answering all the random questions that anyone can think of. If you've never tried it, text any question you can think of to chacha (it's free). I am also giving pills to a woman in a senior citizen living community. A little extra income is always nice! I am quitting ChaCha though and if anyone is thinking about doing it-don't! Some of the questions you get...disturbing and you HAVE to answer them. No thanks! It was fun for a little while.
