Post About my Kids...what else?!

3 weeks
My mom came right after I had Mackayla and helped out so much. Of course, I never got a single picture of the time she spent here, but we truly appreciate it and would not have survived without her.
Aha! I at least found a picture of her of proof she was here...
Mackayla is officially one month old tomorrow. I weighed her today on the scale and if my scale is right she is 11.5 pounds! All those midnights feedings are starting to pay off with a little bit of the beginnings of chubbiness. She started smiling a little bit last week and this morning she finally looked right at me and smiled and did a little goo noise. So sweet.
Cody and Macey may be a little bored at times, but they are cute and crazy. Here they are wrestling:
This week Grandma Bonnie came to visit. One day she was reading them the Book of Mormon picture book and was explaining that it's not good to fight. Cody quickly explained that they only sometimes fight. Bonnie said, "that's okay to wrestle. If you don't smile when you fight, that's the kind of fighting that's bad." Cody said "well we mostly smile when we wrestle, but not all the time"...so worried that they wouldn't be able to keep wrestling!
Stealing the baby seats:
Cody's first day of preschool:
When I picked him up he seemed to have enjoyed his day, although when I really asked him about things he "couldn't remember." It's twice a week for 5 hours at Dayspring, a community church. He had a friend in his class already so that was nice and there are just 6 kids in his class total. It should be fun for him hopefully!

My children are going to be the best judges of when my body stops being "chumpy." For a couple weeks right after I had Mackayla Macey kept asking if I had another baby in my belly, or if there was a heartbeat in my belly. They were also fascinated with how well my belly squished. It actually grossed me out.
Last week Macey patted my bum and smiled and innocently said "Mom, you have a comfy bum." Little does she know, I want buns of steel not buns of comfiness.

Gotta love kids honesty. I'm sure you are looking stellar as always. You were blessed with a body that snaps back after babies! We miss you!
