Quirks

I don't even know how to explain Cody's latest (in the last 3 months I guess) trend. He has to have a toy to match whatever he is watching/reading/doing. I've tried to document this phenomenon. It doesn't make sense until I just list the ones I can think of:
How to Train Your Dragon movie - dragon toy
Rio movie - Jewel bird toy from McDonald's
Spider book from the library - I HAD TO sew him (he asked me to make one for three days straight) an ugly spider that he is sleeping with tonight and loves. makes a spider web.
Beetle book from library - plastic toy beetle and beetle made from cardboard box (he liked the picture side best so that is how it was decorated...we had paint but it was foregone).
Airplane book - assortment of planes he'll either build or from his collection. or a paper plane
Thomas the Train - builds a track
He will suddenly jump up and run into his room and get whatever it is he thinks of that he wants to hold during the movie/book/activity. One time we watched "The Mouse and the Motorcycle" and Cody remembered he had a motorcycle and ran to get it.
I have even more pictures but iPhoto seems to swallow them and not give them back. ARGGGG! I hate wasting time looking for lost pictures.

Any way. Point made.

I forget that Macey is two most days. She literally seems like a 10 year old. Another one of her ironies is that she cries over everything - a bump, a trip, looking at her wrong...but when she's sick she is the most stoic person I know. She could have a high fever and sore throat (like she does) and tell me she's okay just because she's being tough.
She is so helpful when my hands are busy with Mackayla (so, always). If they want to watch a movie, she will pick it and put it in the dvd player and bring me the remotes. Then when it's over, in almost an OCD manner, she takes it out and puts it away. It bothers her to leave them in the dvd player. I like it.
She throws diapers away without me asking and puts Mackayla's binky in like an expert if she's crying.
Ha. They don't watch movies all the time now that I've written a whole paragraph about movies they watch! Admittedly, more after I had Mackayla though. Luckily, the weather is beautiful right now, so we can go out more!

Ben has favorite lines of songs. Listen to a country song. Pick the most random line in it and if that's one of Ben's favorite songs that is probably his "favorite line." I think it's funny, and I find myself choosing favorite lines to songs now...

Like the rest of the world, I love pinterest. I usually won't pin something unless I plan to do it (usually I pincrafts or things I can make). We've made goo, jello playdoh, light sabers, and I want to put glow lights in the bathtub because it looks fun. Pretzel rolls were good, but maybe just worth making every now and then. They look cool though and they were fun to make. Apple cider caramel cookies could have been good...but I had mastitis and was too sick to eat them after I made them:( Ben took them to a football party instead. Hope they were good.
I wrote that Mackayla loved to cuddle in one of my first posts about her. Well, that was because she had no neck muscles. I believe she is going to be like Macey who, in her typical contradictory way, ALWAYS wanted to be held by me...as far away from me as possible.
I caught some smiling on camera!
What a sweetie.
She has been sleeping better and better. My secret to this is all thanks to Ben. I close the door to her room and the door to our room (they are right across the hall). That way I can't hear all her squeaking and sqwacking. I don't know how to spell squawk. Then I just hear her when she lets out a big 'feed me' cry, which knock on wood is just once or twice. Then I jump up to the rescue. Hmmm...if I had only known this with the first one. Would he have slept better? Probably not. That's just during the night...day is different.
What do you do to get your babies to sleep better, day and night?

Matthew used to do the same this as Cody with books/movies! I think it is cute.
