Early Christmas / Help me Delta

We packed a ton of fun into our short week in Utah.
I miss everyone so much. It was so fun to see them.
I was SOOO excited to give everyone their gifts.
We spent the first half of the week with the Purdy's.
I might have lost my camera but luckily had stolen some of my mom's pictures from her camera.

We started our adventures by taking the train in to SLC at City Creek and Temple Square.
So did everyone else in Utah...
(It was free 'ride the shuttle to slc' day from provo)
The wait at Cheesecake Factory was...wait for it...5 hours. So we grabbed Mexican.
Macey and Micah are sporting their new scarves
Micah, Cody and Clay
Uncle Brett and Mace
Little Eskimo baby
The picture is actually deceiving since she refused to have a blanket, hat, gloves or anything else warmth-giving near her. It was like 20 degrees so she is crazy.
It was chilly but beautiful.

We hadn't been to City Creek yet, the new addition to the temple square area, and it is pretty neat!
The next day we had a Christmas dinner party at Becky and Brett's. Their house is picture perfect. I finally asked them where they keep their "stuff" and they sheepishly showed us a cabinet with like three out of place papers and a few other things neatly stacked. Oooh, so that's where.?
I LOVED their tree.

I love Brody's little smile whenever he sees a camera

We spent a little time at Kangaroo zoo

Macey surprised us by going down all the slides without being the least bit scared. This is a HUGE change.

If/when I get my camera I can update the rest of the week. Pictures kind of jog my memory as to what we actually did since lack of sleep and lack of good memory are against me.
We are now back home. The adventure of getting here included Macey on the verge of throwing up- with a fever, Mackayla sick too, Ben getting separated from us on the flight due to a beer-drinking man, and me forgetting our bag with all the kid activities. Ten minutes after we walked in the door to our cold house the power went out for the night (in the whole city). Phew. But I keep telling myself we would have still been driving, and I am so thankful for that omission!! Today Mackayla had projectile vomit but seems to be on the up and up.
The irony of the camera is that I looked over on the plane to see Ben and the man in the aisle seat sleeping peacefully with their mouths both wide open on the plane ride. It struck me as funny and somehow between fruit snack opening and project finding for children I pulled out my camera to take a picture. The proof is on the camera...somewhere in the abyss of delta now. I am on hold with delta to plead my case. They will hopefully tell me they totally knew it was mine and are saving my camera for me and will speedily hand deliver it to my house tomorrow. Right? RIGHT!?

Carrie! We rode the train from Provo to SLC on the free day, too. I wish we'd bumped in to you there or at City Creek. Bummer! Glad you had a fun trip!!!

So that's the story of the camera. Wow, you had a crazy week there. I'm excited to see your pics from the new camera. Wait, is that a secret because Santa is bringing it?
