I dropped my phone a couple weeks ago.
Barely dropped a foot or two.
It died a final death.
I went to the store to get a new one.
They don't even have "dumb" phones out on display.
But, they did have a smart phone for $1. So I got it.
A week later a cute old japanese grandpa was standing next to me waiting to get kids from school.
He asked me how to scan those bar code thingy-s on his phone.
I said I have no idea.
He started laughing hysterically and taunting me saying I was way behind the times.
IT's not. that funny.
But that was kinda funny.
Does anyone know how to scan the barcodes?
And I'm learning that the camera phone needs an incredibly steady hand. Not mine.
It's so handy for capturing I wish I had my camera moments!

you can open the app and basically take a picture (scan) the bar code thingys

A smart phone was our big out-of-school purchase. I now love my iphone but when I first got it, I was overwhelmed by everything it could do. You have to have an app to scan barcodes and it depends on what you are scanning them for. My Fitness Pal let's you scan food barcodes to log in your food diary. Does that make sense? Probably not. I'm not very good at explaining things :)
I kind of despise you for still swimming in October? WIll you forgive me? Haha. I love this. Cody looks seriously awesome in his ninja costume! Can't wait to see the Halloween pics!
And the barcodes are called QR codes- you just have down download a QR scanner app. I never use it though!
I love that that old man laughed at you. He had no idea what he was doing either. Cute kiddos.
