0 to 60

We went to sunny St. George this last week. Before we left, it was 10 degrees in Pullman. When we got to St. George it was 60 and felt like 80 to me. I could have sat in the sun all day. We did a lot of playing at the park, riding bikes, eating out, and a little shopping. I got a mini sunburn, which was actually kind of nice:) My favorite part of course is staying up late((r)-it gets earlier as I get older), children sleeping, laughing with family. It was quite funny watching Bonnie be the celebrity grandma, I'm not sure they are used to sharing attention from her!
I also got to see Ashley, a college roommate who lives in St George, one of my best friends through college.
Here's the kiddos: Blake, Lucy, Macey and Cody. He's really hoping I'm having a boy since Carly and Amy are both having girls...Cody would really be the odd man out if I had a girl too:)

After our trip we came home and spent a little time with my family. Cody played non stop with Clayton, his favorite person.
Our plane ride back was exciting. I checked our itinerary and read that our flight left at 12:00. We got to the airport to check in and it said we were too late, which I just knew was wrong so I went to the ticket counter.
The woman looked at me and said "Your plane leaves at 11, not 12. You have six minutes before your flight leaves. RUN."
Run we did. I was actually sweating when we finally sat down at our plane-which was on the opposite side (terminal E for anyone who knows...last one) of the fair sized salt lake airport.

A couple of things saved us:
I had packed all carry on sized suitcases.
Some neighbors of my parents were next to us in security and told us they would run our luggage down for me.
Cody is amazingly good at running a half mile when he has to. I apparently need to run more.
They opened the small steps of the plane to let us on right before they pulled away, and my parent's neighbors somehow ran our luggage down in time (it was being thoroughly searched and seized by the security people...argh).

Luckily we made it on and got home to see Ben just as he finished all his overnight rotations!

That's crazy you had to run to catch your flight. I'm glad you had a fun trip!!

Your amazing Carrie. I don't know how you fly with two kids by yourself. I have a hard enough time getting myself to the right terminal on time.

Oh man, what an adventure at the airport. Terminal E is so far away. I am so impressed you made it! I'm glad you guys got some sun and fun outside of Pullman!
