Land and Water

It's now officially summer for us. No more unpacking and moving and definitely no school! Mackayla will totally sleep in if I let her and we have lazy mornings. The temp is Perfect for a morning run. Which I can do by myself, since Ben doesn't go to work before the crack of dawn!
We have been checking out some of the things to do around here.
The Beach. of course!
Everything is more fun when dad comes.
We have been a couple times to this one called Calafia Beach. Perfect for boogie boarding for Ben and Cody.
On weekdays we've been looking for fun things to do.
That don't cost, oh, $1,000 per day.
Because I can think of at least five or six things like that. (Disneyland:))
They're on our list.
We go swimming a lot.
We also found some local little zoos. Los Rios is such a cute little street. It's historic, see?
Cute little historic buildings and restaurants
We went to the petting zoo. It could have been animal abuse since the rabbits and guinea pigs were terrified, but the owners seemed to have it under control.

Who doesn't want to do snow angels in a huge pile of corn?
I guess that makes them corn angels.
 This dude was intimidating!!!
We also went to Irvine Zoo. It's not San Diego zoo by any means, but was perfect for a morning activity.

We have plenty of errand days too. Cody would maybe rather not eat if it meant he never had to go shopping, but I still drag him along. Maybe school won't be such a bad thing after all...
We found a fun persian market with lots of produce and a fun bakery. Finding where to put it is the only problem:)
Today we went to Newport Beach. I'm sure we'll go again!

And it's SMA awareness month!
Learn about it here.
Someday I'll have my sister share her story:)
