Cody turned nine this month!
To start the celebrations I took him to lunch the day before his birthday.
We went with his friend Cody.
Cody and Cody are in the same class at school, they are both mormon, and their birthdays are a day apart. So fun!
For his family party he decided to go to Chik Fil A for dinner and Chuck E Cheese (we avoided their pizza!)
He requested an ice cream cake.
Cody had a great year being 8. He has loved his class this year. They have read some good books like the Black Stallion, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Cody has learned to really love reading. He is really good at being on time to things and hates being late. He always gets himself up in the morning and gets himself ready without me asking (how nice is that?!). He somehow always seems to know the right answer in church, and we can't even take credit for that. He absorbs goodness and shares it with others.
He loves to either be playing something creative and large scale in his room or in perpetual motion downstairs with a ball. We really just need a solid cement wall somewhere close for him to kick, hit, or throw a ball at!
He is loving building and creating things, drawing, legos, swimming, singing, handball, soccer, baseball, and scouts.
We are loving having him in our family.

Oh my heck, I can't believe he is so big! When did our kids get so old!? As I was reading this I was thinking about one of the first times I saw you at church in Pullman. It was in Relief Society and you were holding a sleeping Cody. He was still a baby in Nursery I think. But now, he's nine!! Crazy!
