Doctor, Swim, Snow

A full day, and it's not done yet...but we just have cleaning and laundry...nothing exciting. Cody and Mackayla had doctor appointments this morning.
Mackayla is 16 pounds 5 ounces and around the 50% for weight, and 26" in the 60% for height. Last time she was around the 15% for height, so she has really shot up since then.

Cody, my solid little man, is 45.5 pounds in the 80% for weight, and 3 ft 7" in the 50% for height. He got 4 shots and did not love it, but did great anyway.

Right after the appointment we rushed over to swim lessons. Cody loves his lessons and loves jumping off the diving platforms and swimming to the side. He can make a huge splash and he loves it.
I sit on the far side of the pool with the other parents so I'm not close to them, but I just watch Macey and see her negotiating with the teacher every week about what she will and will not do. She Hates getting her head in the water. She carefully gets in the water and as she swims across the pool she carefully paddles her legs and arms with her head out of the water. I think the teacher is fine with that for now, as opposed to the vehement scream crying she can (and does) do.

After swim lessons they went and played in the snow. The second snow of the year, which we can't really complain about. The kids loved playing in the snow. I realized I hadn't bought them any snow clothes for this year so Cody wore his 2T snow pants and Macey wore her 12 month snowpants. Awesome. As Macey was walking out the door I heard her say to herself, "I'm a penguin."
Back to laundry - which before it always took 2 1/2 hours for one load of wash and I just assumed that's the way it was because that's how it was when we moved here. The other day I was playing with it and fixed it! Now it washes in a normal amount of time!!
