What Do You Get When You Don't Get What You Expect

You get life!
I have been dreading writing this post, just because there are now so many unknown variables, but for records' sake I'm writing. Ben did not get a residency. There are so many things I have thought the last week, but mostly just that residency or not, we were sure we were supposed to come here, for whatever reason, so I'm so glad we're here. It's been a good almost-year.
For vet school, residencies are not only not required, they are few and far between. There were just 17 positions in the country. Ben was on the "short list" for five of the ten schools he applied to. They can't tell you where on the list you are apparently. So we felt fairly good about it, but things didn't work out. The good news is, now maybe we'll be going on with a job (maybe more internship work, ah!). We'll just see!

Isn't it so reassuring that Heavenly Father is in control and knows what's best for your family? Sometimes it's hard to see it, but in the end, it all becomes very clear. We miss you guys! Maybe you should move back to Pullman;-)

Agree maybe you should come back to Pullman. It's hard when our prayers are answered in a way we were not expecting them to be. It always works out, and it will for you guys too. Miss you guys!

I miss you. Oh, how I miss you Carrie. You are one of my favorite people of all time. You just are so real---and so is life, huh? You guys are a terrific team. There is definitely a reason you went to Oklahoma, although I wish it were more like Washington instead. Hang in there. You are amazing!
