Family Nights Out

Bowling!

Pay attention to the MPH at the top of the screen...our game took over an hour and I'm pretty sure it's because each turn of Mackayla's was a 10 minute wait for the ball to reach the pins.
This one below was actually pretty fast. But I just loved watching her bowl. (She's not very pleased when it surprised rolled out at the end.)

I did pretty terrible and Ben ended up doing pretty good!
Everyone got to choose something they wanted to do when we finished reading the Book of Mormon.
Mackayla wanted to go to the beach, which we did.
Cody wanted to go bowling, which we just did.
Macey wants to go camping - we'll do that. Beach camping would be awesome, but it's like a 6 month wait. We may go to a regular "campground" which around here includes zero trees and a few cactus on some gravel. Ugh, where are the Uintah's when you need them?
I wanted to go to a Vocal Point concert, cause I saw they were coming here.
Ben says he would go to a water park. We'll do that - sometime!

I was so excited for Vocal Point.
I have a deep appreciation for talented singers.
And I always love a little BYU humor.
All of us don't appreciate that humor, but we'll let that slide.
It didn't start until 7:30, just about the time the kids are winding down for bed.

They said if we posted a picture to instagram that we were entered to win a free cd. So of course I tried to get some enthusiasm for a picture and of course cute Macey, always supportive, obliged.
But she's the only one in the picture;)
The acoustics seemed tricky in that building, but my favorite song of the night was when they put down their microphones, stood in a semicircle and sang pitch perfect. I can't even remember the song but it was great!

 Best moment of the night:
A very heartfelt serious song, during a pause in that song, Cody let out an enormous snore!

They really are such talented singers. Fun night for me!!

I love family nights :)
