Olympics: Scouts Style

We had the olympics at our pack meeting.
It was pretty well attended even after the 4th holiday.
Our committee chair always has things planned down to the T.
We had five teams with five individual events and three team events.
The team events were wheelbarrow races and filling balls into bags around their necks. The one with the most balls wins.
Then board races

 And Tug o War

I think I was most surprised at the competitiveness of Macey. I know Cody is competitive, and he did great. Macey was unreal too, and her tug of war faces were the BEST! It was like do or die.
It really came down to the coaching for the winner - one dad just let the kids work it out and one dad had their team going 1, 2, 3, HEAVE! They were littler too, but it worked!
Mackayla even agreed to do the games, and became best little buddies with Bethanie.
I'm proud of Mackayla for trying and so thankful to Bethanie for taking her under her wing. She earned two stickers on her brave chart for trying!!

I have a strong suspicion that the medals were the motivating factor to Macey's aggressive competition!
I'm proud of all of them for going for it and trying their best!
Macey got the gold medal for shooting.
Cody got the bronze (behind two very tall older girls - he was so mad!) for sprinting the 50 yard dash. He's a fast little devil. And he got the gold for something...we're not even sure what:)
And their teams all got gum ball awards for winning their events.

Fun night, well planned, and great exercise!
