The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes this morning was...nothing. No dogs barking at our window (like Oklahoma), no huge logging semis whizzing by (Oregon) and no upstairs/downstairs/sideways neighbors hollering (Pullman). It's so peaceful here. so far at least. we do have side neighbors.
Coming back from a camping vacation to a new floor remodel and a half unpacked house made for an overwhelming day yesterday. Just eating requires putting the table together and finding forks. Not to mention finding food. I'm glad today was sunday so I could pretend that we are all settled and enjoying our day.
We somehow found church without the gps. When he wants to Ben can almost memorize entire cities instantly. I'm still lost outside our house. I had planned on staying with Mackayla for the next six months in nursery since that was my calling in our last ward and she has been with me there the whole time (plus pretty much everywhere else I go). I dropped her off and a few minutes later snuck out waiting to get her a couple minutes later when she was hysterical. No one came. As I raced to nursery at the end of church I walked in just as Mackayla opened her eyes from a deep sleep in a nursery leaders lap. This place is amazing! I guess doing your calling can give you blessings;)

That is awesome. I wish Elyssa would do that with nursery. I was a nursery leader as well, but now when I walk in to drop her off she starts screaming.
glad to hear you are settling!
