Moab Mountains

Something about being in the middle of the woods in Moab with no agenda just made me want to sit and take pictures.
The middle of the woods doesn't have paved roads; it's a pretty rocky drive in.
Then we ditch the cars and take 4 wheelers:
There were plenty of four legged friends for Mackayla as well.
 And two wheeled toys too:)
Luke had built a BMX track for the kids last year
And it was up and running after the tree that fell on it was moved
Here's the cute cabin:
The Crosland's even helped build it way back in the day

We filled our time with fishing
 And playing in dirt
Note the mud drenched pants:)!
Ben hasn't fished in a looong time. It was fun to watch him.

Ben and I even got to hike Mt Mellentine. It's waay steeper than it first looks. There's just one small spot to climb up surrounded by cliffs of rock in one spot and the whole top is just shell rock. We even saw a bull elk. Kind of a fun date:)
Hunting for salamander at the salamander pond

Going on a walk

The drive to California was pretty

We were going the opposite way of a steady wall of traffic heading to vegas on a friday night! This is at 10:00 and it looked like rush hour.

I'm still SO sad we missed the cabin yet again! I'm so glad you guys got to go though! I swear we have the worst timing! We'll see you in August though!
