Getting a Move On

I thought it would be fun to get pictures of us packing up and moving and a last picture in front of our house.
But.
Then we started packing up and moving.
Grandma Bonnie came and helped watch kids and pack.
Then my parents came and helped finish up and drive the big loud moving truck down.
I snapped a picture as we drove down towards Eugene of the random hills that jut up out of flatness, it's one of my favorite parts of the landscape(geology?) of the land there.
We decided to take a detour off the boring I-5 south route and see the redwood forests.
First stop: Crescent City on the coast. We played at a cute park.
You're never too old to swing.
It was good to get some energy out.
We stayed at the Cutest hotel. Now I can't even remember the name of it.
I thought Cody would love all the ships.

 Goodbye Oregon Coast!
We stopped at a restaurant in the redwoods that has a treehouse INSIDE a tree.
The kids signed their names in the treehouse book.
The "Eternal Tree House" and from the pictures the tree is not that impressive...but it is actually huge.

We drove along the Avenue of the Giants. Moving truck and all.

Ben and I came to some redwoods on our honeymoon. This is a tribute:)
In a tree (had a fire in it)

Next stop was back to I-5 and Williams. We stayed at an awesome hotel again-Granzella's and a great restaurant with it. We kind of lucked out with lodging because we definitely did not plan ahead.
Driving for days on end with this little one isn't half bad considering her age. I'm not saying it's enjoyable, just not that bad! Those headphones usually last up to 10 minutes.
Once we found her sleeping like this:)
Finally made it to our destination. The floor had been flooded from the previous tenants here so we couldn't move everything in with the floor being refinished on the lower level. So we moved everything in for the bedrooms and kitchen and decided to take off to Utah. Packing up is crazy, but This is why moving is stressful to me:
Especially when you've never seen where you'll live and don't know why you'll need/not need like we seem to do every single time we move. Thinking about it now, we've Never seen a place we're moving to except once when we moved to Northwood in Pullman. I kind of like the surprise honestly.

The next day we headed to the beach, just 15 minutes from us!!
 Cody Loves the waves
They tried their luck at boogie boarding but this wasn't the best beach for it. We'll figure it out.

This is the beach clean up process. I stole some pictures from my mom. Apparently she thought this was funny:) or maybe she is just enjoying that she doesn't have to help me clean myself up anymore?
Well I guess that's not true since she helped me move. Thanks again mom and dad. This is move #6 and they've helped with every one.
That night we headed to the fireworks in the neighborhood and they SERIOUSLY put on a show!!
The next day we drove to Utah. Because you can never get enough driving in a car.
I'm so glad we did. It was so good to see our families.
We got to spend the day with Becky and Brett.
And see Eric and Yolanda and even LeYenna for a minute.
Anyone that lives near-ish Roy should head to the Roy city pool. It's awesome.
Becky and Brett are the pool veterans and we got the best seats in the place:)
Cody and Macey could not wait to see Micah! She even won over Mackayla, who followed her everywhere.
We had a birthday dinner on Sunday for Bonnie and met Stefan our future brother in law! Since I'm awesome I did not take one picture of the night except of our super cool drinks. I will be sure to get pictures at Jessi and Stefan's wedding. They are a pretty photogenic couple:)! We're so happy for them.
Next: Moab
